Twilight Imperium Compatible Gamemat
Build your galaxy on a play surface made for long strategy sessions. These neoprene gamemats are designed for Twilight Imperium, with layouts for 3rd and 4th edition, groups of up to 8 players, and options compatible with the Thunder's Edge expansion.
Choose your layout
- Big One – 103 × 115 cm (40.6 × 45.3 in): large-format map for 3rd or 4th edition and up to 8 players; Thunder's Edge compatible.
- Free Setup – 86 × 95 cm (33.9 × 37.4 in): open galaxy setup for flexible configurations up to 8 players; compatible with expansions including Thunder's Edge.
- 4th Edition – 96 × 96 cm (37.8 × 37.8 in): home systems for up to 8 players, areas for strategy cards, objectives, action cards, agenda cards, secret objectives, ground forces, trade goods and a 12/14-point score track.
- 3rd Edition – 94 × 94 cm (37.0 × 37.0 in): dedicated zones for home systems, objectives, political/action cards, units, trade goods and victory points.
- Setup 8 – 86 × 95 cm (33.9 × 37.4 in): home-system spaces for up to 8 players with a cleaner, more open table layout.
- Setup 6 – 70 × 75 cm (27.6 × 29.5 in): compact home-system layout for up to 6 players.
- Outer layout – 96 × 96 cm (37.8 × 37.8 in): flexible edition-compatible setup with Stage Objective spaces and a 14-point victory track.
Each mat uses 2 mm neoprene with sewn edges, a non-glare textile surface and a water-resistant finish. It protects the table, cushions tiles and components, and stores easily after game night.
A protective cardboard tube is included for storage and transport.

Frequently asked questions
Which size should I choose for 6 or 8 players?
For up to 6 players, Setup 6 (70 × 75 cm) is the compact option. For up to 8 players, choose Setup 8 or Free Setup (86 × 95 cm), the 4th Edition layout (96 × 96 cm) or the Big One (103 × 115 cm) if you want the largest map.
3rd or 4th edition?
The 3rd Edition layout (94 × 94 cm) and the 4th Edition layout (96 × 96 cm) are made for their respective editions. The Big One works with both editions, and the Outer layout is edition-compatible.
Does it work with Thunder's Edge?
Yes. The Big One and Free Setup layouts are compatible with the Thunder's Edge expansion.
I was surprised by the clarity of the image on the matt. It was perfectly clear, with no blurriness or smearing at all. The lines were all sharp, and the score tracker is larger than the one the game comes with, so it's much easier to track scores in close games now (no awkwardly stacking control markers on top of each other). The matt also has a good thickness while maintaining a light weight.
Overall, this was an excellent addition to our TI4 session, and I would definitely recommend it for anyone who plays semi-often as a way to keep the game area tidy.
Also, the seller was very prompt (within reason, given time zones) and helpful with my questions, so that's always a plus.

Maybe I'm only unlucky and I took the odd one, but that mat could be realized better: not so bright colours as in the pics (not deep blue) not high resolution (stars are blurring). What a shame.
Very nice game mat. It looks AMAZING, and the shipping package is incredible, and acts as a good storage for it while not in use.
It took some time to get to my place, but if you live in the US it's coming from Spain so the shipping time is very accurate. But besides that, the mat itself is amazing, great quality the letters and lines are very clear and helps keep the game more organized. My friends were pretty impressed by it too. The mat is ALOT larger than I thought it was gonna be but I love it! The print and colors are crisp and the mat feels to be excellent quality. Have not tried it out with a game yet though. All in all great buy.
